Service(s) Affected: Internet Access Customer Impact: Hazard notification only Details: To improve failover and recovery times in a future unplanned outage situation, we are working with our IP transit upstream to adjust configuration at our network handover points so that BGP failover time reduces from around 3 minutes to 1 second. This change will be applied at our AKL2 (secondary) site during this maintenance window.
No customer impact is expected. However, if BGP reconvergence is triggered unexpectedly during this work, there may be intermittent packet loss for a few minutes while routing stabilises.
